Sandwich Assembly

Method

Fried Fish

1

Prepare the Fish

In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk the egg and milk together.

2

Coat the Fish

Dip each fish fillet into the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture until evenly coated.

3

Fry the Fish

In a deep skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Fry the fish fillets in batches for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Tartar Sauce

4

Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, dill pickle relish, lemon juice, capers, and fresh dill. Mix until well combined.

French Fries

5

Prepare the Fries

In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add the cut potatoes and fry until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then season with salt.

Coleslaw

6

Make the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and carrot. In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine.

Sandwich Assembly

7

Assemble the Sandwich

Spread tartar sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Layer with lettuce, a fried fish fillet, a slice of tomato, and more tartar sauce on top. Close with the bun top.
