Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Truffle Aioli

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, truffle oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little oil and sauté the wild mushrooms until they are tender and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Form the Burgers

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and form them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Cook the Burgers

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Gruyere cheese on top of each patty to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the St-Bruno buns lightly. Spread the truffle aioli on the bottom half of each bun, add the cooked burger patty with melted Gruyere, top with sautéed wild mushrooms, and finally place the top half of the bun.
