Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Truffle Aioli

In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, truffle oil, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until well combined and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of truffle oil. Add the wild mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, until they are tender and golden. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Form the Patties

In a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the beef into two equal patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

  4. 4

    Cook the Burgers

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Gruyere cheese on top of each patty to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the St-Bruno buns lightly. Spread a generous amount of truffle aioli on the bottom bun, add the cooked beef patty with melted Gruyere, top with sautéed mushrooms, and add arugula if using. Finish with the top bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the burger with your choice of sides and enjoy!
