Steak Sandwich Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Cook the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Spinach and Garlic

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt to taste.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Peppers

Slice the hot banana peppers and set aside. These will be used for topping the sandwich.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the French bread or baguette lengthwise. Layer the sautéed spinach, sliced steak, hot banana peppers, and fontina cheese on the bottom half of the bread. Place the top half of the bread over the fillings.

  5. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Place the assembled sandwich in a preheated oven (350°F) for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve with French Fries

While the sandwich is baking, prepare the French fries according to package instructions. Serve the steak sandwich hot with a side of French fries.
