Prepare the Chicken
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Rub the spatchcocked half chicken with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

Roast the Chicken
Place the chicken skin-side up on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Add Mushrooms and Marsala
Add the sliced wild mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes until softened. Pour in the Marsala wine and bring to a simmer. Let it reduce for about 5 minutes, then stir in the chopped thyme.

Serve
Once the chicken is done roasting, let it rest for a few minutes. Serve the chicken with the mushroom Marsala sauce drizzled on top.
