Preparation Steps
- 1
Prep the Peppers
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash the banana peppers, cut off the tops, and remove the seeds if desired for less heat.
- 2
Stuff the Peppers
Finely chop the garlic and combine it with the Italian cheese. Stuff the mixture into each banana pepper until full.
- 3
Drizzle with Olive Oil
Place the stuffed banana peppers on a baking sheet. Drizzle them with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
- 4
Bake the Peppers
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the peppers are blistered and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 5
Prepare the Bread
While the peppers are baking, grill the slices of bread until they are golden brown.
- 6
Serve
Remove the blistered banana peppers from the oven and serve them hot alongside the grilled bread.
