Gyoza Filling

Method

Gyoza Assembly and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped cabbage, green onions, grated ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Fill the Gyoza Wrappers

Take a gyoza wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and pinch the edges to seal, making sure there are no air pockets.

  3. 3

    Cook the Gyoza

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Once hot, place the gyoza in the skillet, flat side down. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown. Add a splash of water to the pan and cover immediately. Let steam for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the gyoza from the skillet and serve with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
