Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare the Coffee
Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool. If desired, add coffee liqueur for extra flavor.
- 2
Whip the Cream
In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add granulated sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- 3
Mix Mascarpone
In another bowl, gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream mixture until well combined and smooth.
- 4
Soak the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, making sure not to soak them too long as they can become too soggy.
- 5
Layer the Tiramisu
In a serving dish, arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- 6
Chill and Serve
Cover the tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle grated dark chocolate.
