Biscuits Ingredients

Method

Biscuits Directions

  1. 1

    Preparing the Dough

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  2. 2

    Adding Milk

Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the milk. Stir gently until the dough comes together. Do not over-mix.

  3. 3

    Shaping the Biscuits

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 30 seconds. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits.

  4. 4

    Baking

Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

  5. 5

    Serving

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with Steen's butter and seasonal jam.
