Method

Bacon Onion Jam

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Sauté Onions

In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add chopped bacon, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, and thyme to the onions. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until thickened.

Burger Patty

  1. 4

    Prepare the Patty

In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into two patties.

  2. 5

    Cook the Patty

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.

  3. 6

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Spread Dijon

Spread Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each burger bun.

  2. 8

    Add the Patty

Place the cooked beef patty on top of the mustard.

  3. 9

    Top with Jam

Add a generous amount of bacon onion jam on top of the patty.

  4. 10

    Add Special Sauce

Spread special sauce on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the burger.

Hand Cut Fries

  1. 11

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and cut the potatoes into fries.

  2. 12

    Fry the Potatoes

In a deep pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.

  3. 13

    Season the Fries

Remove fries from oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.

House Made Pickles

  1. 14

    Prepare the Brine

In a bowl, mix white vinegar, water, sugar, and salt until dissolved.

  2. 15

    Slice Cucumbers

Slice cucumbers into thin rounds and place them in a jar.

  3. 16

    Combine and Refrigerate

Pour the brine over the cucumbers and seal the jar. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
