Heat Oil
In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry Hush Puppies
Using a spoon or small ice cream scoop, carefully drop tablespoons of batter into the hot oil. Fry in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the hush puppies are golden brown, turning occasionally.

Drain and Keep Warm
Once cooked, use a slotted spoon to transfer the hush puppies to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Keep warm while frying the remaining batches.
