Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pickles

Drain the dill pickle slices and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour, a mixture of beaten eggs and milk, and the cornmeal mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

Breading

  1. 3

    Bread the Pickles

Dip each pickle slice into the flour to coat, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the cornmeal mixture, pressing lightly to adhere the breading.

Frying

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry the Pickles

Carefully add the breaded pickle slices to the hot oil in batches. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

  3. 6

    Drain the Pickles

Remove the fried pickles from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Serve the fried pickles hot with ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
