Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

If you have leftover smoked brisket, shred or chop it into bite-sized pieces. If using freshly smoked brisket, allow it to rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ingredients

Prepare all toppings by shredding the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, slicing the jalapeños (fresh or pickled), and chopping the green onions.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Layer the Chips

Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish.

  2. 4

    Add the Brisket

Evenly distribute the shredded smoked brisket over the tortilla chips.

  3. 5

    Add the Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the brisket and chips, making sure to cover them well.

  4. 6

    Add Jalapeños

Sprinkle the sliced jalapeños on top of the cheese.

Cooking

  1. 7

    Bake the Nachos

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the nachos for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Once baked, remove the nachos from the oven and drizzle sour cream over the top. Garnish with chopped green onions. Serve immediately while hot.
