Method

Noodle Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil Water

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.

  2. 2

    Cook Noodles

Add the lo-mein noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente.

  3. 3

    Drain Noodles

Drain the noodles and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.

  4. 4

    Season Noodles

Toss the noodles with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and chopped green onions. Set aside.

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 5

    Season Shrimp

In a large bowl, combine the peeled and deveined gulf shrimp with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.

  2. 6

    Cook Shrimp

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they start to turn pink.

  3. 7

    Add Garlic and Spice

Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for another minute.

  4. 8

    Add Chili Glaze

Pour in the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and fresh lime juice. Stir well and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are fully cooked and the sauce is thickened.

Assembly

    Prepare Plate

On a serving plate, create a nest with the seasoned lo-mein noodles.

  2. 10

    Serve Dish

Top the noodle nest with the caramelized shrimp and drizzle extra glaze from the skillet over the top.
