Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Asparagus
Rinse the asparagus spears under cold water and trim the tough ends, about 1-2 inches from the bottom.
- 2
Wrap with Prosciutto and Provolone
Take one slice of prosciutto and one slice of provolone cheese and place them on a clean surface. Place an asparagus spear at one end of the prosciutto and cheese, then roll it tightly to wrap the spear completely. Repeat this for all asparagus spears.
Cooking
- 3
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
- 4
Pan Fry the Wrapped Asparagus
Carefully place the wrapped asparagus spears in the skillet in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the prosciutto is crispy and the asparagus is tender.
- 5
Season and Serve
Season the pan-fried asparagus with salt and black pepper to taste. Transfer to a serving plate and serve immediately.
