Crab Cakes

Method

Prepare Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, gently combine the crab meat, shrimp, corn, panko, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, black pepper, and beaten egg until just mixed.

  2. 2

    Form Cakes

Divide the mixture into 6-8 equal portions and shape them into patties.

  3. 3

    Chill

Place the patties on a baking sheet and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.

  4. 4

    Cook

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Prepare Apple Fennel Salad

  1. 5

    Mix Salad Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the sliced fennel, apple, and arugula.

  2. 6

    Dress Salad

Drizzle with lemon juice and olive oil, then season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss gently to combine.

Prepare Tartar Sauce

  1. 7

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, chopped capers, pickles, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
