Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) to get it ready for baking the nachos.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Baking Tray

Line a baking tray with parchment paper or aluminum foil to prevent sticking.

  3. 3

    Mix the Seasoning

In a small bowl, mix together the ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.

Assembling the Nachos

  1. 4

    Layer the Tortilla Chips

Spread half of the tortilla chips evenly across the prepared baking tray.

  2. 5

    Add the Cheese

Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese and half of the shredded Monterey Jack cheese over the tortilla chips.

  3. 6

    Add Toppings

Evenly distribute half of the jalapeños, black olives, diced tomatoes, and diced red onion over the cheese layer.

  4. 7

    Repeat the Layers

Repeat the layers by adding the remaining tortilla chips, followed by the rest of the cheese and toppings.

  5. 8

    Sprinkle Seasoning

Evenly sprinkle the seasoning mix over the top layer of nachos.

Baking

  1. 9

    Bake the Nachos

Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  2. 10

    Remove from Oven

Once baked, carefully remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes.

Serving

  1. 11

    Serve and Enjoy

Serve the nachos hot, topped with sour cream and guacamole on the side for dipping.
