Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the sirloin steak with olive oil, and season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time to your preferred doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Crispy Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 4

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and dice the potatoes, then place them in a pot of boiling salted water. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  3. 6

    Add Toppings

Fold in shredded cheddar cheese and bacon bits into the mashed potatoes. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes until golden and crispy on top.

  4. 7

    Garnish

Sprinkle sliced green onions on top before serving.

Seasonal Vegetables Preparation

  1. 8

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a bowl, toss the sliced carrots and broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 9

    Cook the Vegetables

Steam or sauté the vegetables in a pan over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still bright in color.
