Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the New York strip steak with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time to your preference. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Crispy Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and chop the russet potatoes. Boil them in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

  2. 4

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter, heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  3. 5

    Crisp the Potatoes

Spread the mashed potatoes in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Vegetables

Trim the asparagus and slice the carrots. Toss both with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 7

    Cook the Vegetables

Sauté the vegetables in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes or until tender-crisp.
