Pudding Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Brown the Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the butter turns a golden brown color and has a nutty aroma. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually add the brown butter to the mixture, stirring continuously.

  3. 3

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and sea salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.

  4. 4

    Add Milk

Slowly add the whole milk to the batter, mixing until just combined.

  5. 5

    Bake the Pudding

Pour the batter into a greased baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. 6

    Prepare Chocolate Caramel

While the pudding is baking, prepare the chocolate caramel sauce by melting chocolate and caramel in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.

  7. 7

    Serve

Once the pudding is done baking, let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, drizzled with chocolate caramel sauce, topped with whipped cream, and a sprinkle of sea salt.
