Shrimp Preparation

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.

Prepare Batter
Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth and well combined.

Heat Oil
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep-fryer or large pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Batter and Fry Shrimp
Dip each shrimp into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then carefully place in the hot oil.

Fry Shrimp
Fry the shrimp in batches for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Drain Shrimp
Remove the shrimp from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Dipping Sauce Preparation

Mix Dipping Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the yellow mustard, honey, rice vinegar, and soy sauce until well combined.

Adjust Sauce to Taste
Taste and adjust the sweetness with additional honey if desired.
