Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients. Slice the tomato into thick rounds.

  2. 2

    Season the Beef

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to combine without overworking the meat.

  3. 3

    Form the Patties

Divide the seasoned beef into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns, then place the lettuce leaves on the bottom bun. Top with the cheesy patty, followed by the sliced tomato. Cap with the top bun.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the cheeseburgers immediately with your favorite sides.
