Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Muddle

In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass, add the fresh raspberries, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup. Gently muddle just enough to break the raspberries and release juice and seeds—about 6–8 soft presses. Avoid over-muddling to keep the drink from becoming overly pulpy.

  2. 2

    Add spirits and chill

Add 2 oz raspberry vodka to the shaker. Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup) and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the exterior of the shaker is cold. This chills and slightly dilutes the mixture for balance.

  3. 3

    Strain

Using a fine mesh strainer over a tall glass (12–14 oz) filled with fresh ice, double-strain the shaken mixture to remove raspberry seeds and solids. This produces a smoother finished cocktail.

  4. 4

    Top with Red Bull Yellow

Carefully pour or gently top with 4 oz Red Bull Yellow Edition (tropical). Stir once gently with a bar spoon to combine — one or two slow turns to preserve carbonation.

Garnish & Finish

  1. 5

Skewer one fresh raspberry on a small pick and rest the pick across the rim or place it on top of the ice. Add a lime wheel to the rim. Serve immediately with a straw. Optionally, present with a short note that this is an energy-drink-forward cocktail and should be consumed responsibly.
