For 1 Bottle (Mango Hard Seltzer)

Method

Assembly and Serving

  1. 1

    Chill bottle and prep

Ensure the hard seltzer bottle is well chilled (ideally 35–40°F / 2–4°C). If using fresh mango purée, strain through a fine mesh to remove fibers for a smoother drink. Prepare a mango slice and mint sprig for garnish.

  2. 2

    Combine purée and citrus

In a small mixing glass or measuring cup, combine 2 fl oz mango purée, 0.5 fl oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 fl oz simple syrup. Stir vigorously for 10–15 seconds until fully combined and slightly loose in texture. Taste and adjust sweetness — use up to 0.5 fl oz syrup if mango is tart.

  3. 3

    Add to bottle

Open the chilled bottle of unflavored hard seltzer. Carefully pour the mango-lime mixture into the bottle. Leave a small headspace (about 0.5–1 fl oz) to preserve carbonation when closing if you reseal; otherwise proceed to gently stir.

  4. 4

    Incorporate without losing fizz

Gently roll the bottle between your palms or invert it once slowly and right it to mix — avoid vigorous shaking to prevent excessive foaming and loss of carbonation. If using a separate glass with ice, pour the seltzer over the ice first, then add the mango mixture and stir gently with a bar spoon for 3–5 revolutions.

  5. 5

    Serve and garnish

If serving from the bottle, insert the mango slice on the rim and place the mint sprig alongside. If serving in a glass, fill a highball or Collins glass half full of ice (about 0.5 cup), pour in the mango-seltzer mixture, stir gently, and garnish with the mango slice and mint. Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.

  6. 6

    Batch scaling notes

To make a 1-liter batch (about 33 fl oz), multiply ingredient quantities by 2.75: use ~5.5 fl oz mango purée, 1.4 fl oz lime juice, and ~0.7–1.4 fl oz simple syrup depending on sweetness. Mix in a chilled pitcher and gently top with seltzer to preserve carbonation.
