Method

Bottle

  1. 1

    Chill bottle

Place the flavored malt beverage bottle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours prior to serving, or chill in an ice bath for 20 minutes until very cold.

  2. 2

When ready to serve, carefully open the chilled bottle to preserve carbonation. Set the bottle aside briefly while assembling the glass.

Garnish & Mix-ins

  1. 3

    Prepare glass

Fill a tall glass (12–16 oz) with about 1 cup of fresh ice.

  2. 4

    Add simple syrup and mint

Pour 1/2 tablespoon simple syrup over the ice, then clap the mint leaves between your palms to release aroma and tuck them into the ice. Gently press the mint into the ice with a spoon about 2–3 times to infuse without shredding.

  3. 5

    Add bottle and finish

Slowly pour the chilled flavored malt beverage from the bottle into the glass over the ice and mint so it mixes gently with the syrup. Squeeze the lemon wedge over the drink to add a bright citrus note, then drop the wedge into the glass as garnish.

  4. 6

Serve immediately with a long spoon or straw. Recommend stirring once gently before drinking to integrate syrup and mint aroma.
