Mac and Cheese
Method
Preparation
- 1
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Make the Cheese Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the shredded white cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until the cheese has melted.
- 3
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until well combined.
- 4
Prepare the Chicken
Cook your choice of grilled or hand-breaded, double-dipped chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
- 5
Assemble the Dish
In a serving bowl, combine the mac and cheese with the chicken pieces. Drizzle with your favorite Signature sauce and top with bacon bits and chopped chives.
