Prepare the Burger Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.

Cook the Burgers
In the same skillet, add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

Assemble the Burger
Spread the Hickory BBQ sauce on the bottom half of the hamburger buns. Place the cooked burger patties on top, followed by the crispy bacon. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
