Curly Fries Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

1

Cut and Soak Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Using a curly fry cutter or spiralizer, cut the potatoes into curly shapes. Soak the curly fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

2

Prepare the Coating

In a large bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.

3

Heat the Oil

In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

4

Coat the Fries

Drain the soaked curly fries and pat them dry with paper towels. Toss the curly fries in the flour mixture until evenly coated.

5

Fry the Curly Fries

Carefully add the coated curly fries to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

6

Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste while hot.

7

Serve

Serve the crispy curly fries in a basket or on a plate, enjoy hot!
