Method

Kebab Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the boneless chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes and add them to the marinade. Toss to coat the chicken evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.

  3. 3

    Soak Wooden Skewers

While the chicken marinates, soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning on the grill.

  4. 4

    Assemble Skewers

After marinating, thread the chicken cubes onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.

Cooking the Kebabs

  1. 5

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

  2. 6

    Grill the Kebabs

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

  3. 7

    Rest the Kebabs

Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Hummus Preparation

  1. 8

    Combine Ingredients

In a food processor, add the canned chickpeas (drained and rinsed), tahini, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, water, salt, and ground cumin.

  2. 9

    Blend until Smooth

Process the mixture until smooth and creamy. If the hummus is too thick, add more water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.

  3. 10

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice to taste.

  4. 11

    Serve

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with extra olive oil and sprinkle with paprika.
