Ingredients for Classic Spanish Sangria
Method
Directions for Classic Spanish Sangria
Prepare the Fruit
Wash and slice the orange, lemon, lime, and apple into thin wedges or bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
Mix the Base
In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, orange juice, and brandy. Stir well to mix.
Add the Fruit
Add the sliced fruit (orange, lemon, lime, and apple) into the pitcher with the wine mixture.
Chill the Sangria
Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld together. For best results, let it sit overnight.
Serve the Sangria
Before serving, add the sparkling water or soda to the pitcher and stir gently. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the sangria over the ice. Garnish with additional fruit slices if desired.
