Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Tenderloin
Trim any excess fat from the beef tenderloin. Pat it dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
- 2
Grilling
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F). If using charcoal, ensure the coals are glowing red and covered with gray ash.
- 4
Grill the Tenderloin
Place the seasoned tenderloin on the grill. Sear each side for about 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, flipping it every few minutes to achieve an even cook. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness (130°F for medium-rare).
- 5
Rest the Meat
Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the tenderloin from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.
Serving
- 6
Slice and Serve
Slice the tenderloin into thick steaks. Serve with a pat of butter on top, lemon wedges, and a sprinkle of fresh parsley for garnish.
