Prepare the Sour Mix
In a shaker, combine fresh lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake well and set aside.

Mix the Cocktail
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the Blanco tequila, orange liqueur, and the prepared sour mix. Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.

Strain and Layer
Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass. Slowly pour the blue curacao over the back of a spoon so it floats on top.
