Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Coating
In a bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 2
Soak the Patties
In another bowl, pour the plant-based buttermilk. Dip each plant-based chicken patty into the buttermilk, ensuring it is fully coated.
- 3
Coat the Patties
Take the soaked patties and dredge them in the flour mixture, pressing firmly to adhere the coating.

Fry the Patties
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated patties and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix the Nashville hot sauce with a little bit of the frying oil for flavor.
- 6
Assemble the Sandwich
On each brioche bun, add a fried patty, drizzle with Nashville hot sauce, top with lettuce and pickles, and close the sandwich.
