Stuffing

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Mussels

Rinse the mussels under cold water and scrub the shells to remove any dirt. Remove the beards and discard any mussels that are open and do not close when tapped.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Stuffing

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened. Stir in the bread crumbs, parsley, lemon juice, paprika, salt, pepper, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix well and remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Stuff the Mussels

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Stuff each mussel shell with the prepared mixture, pressing it down slightly, and place them on a baking tray. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top.

  4. 4

    Bake the Mussels

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the mussels are cooked through. Serve hot.
