Method

Cocktail

1

Combine & Shake

Add light rum, banana liqueur, blackberry liqueur, fresh lime juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, grenadine and ice into a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker to about three-quarters full with ice so ingredients chill properly.

2

Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold and slightly frosted. This properly dilutes and chills the drink.

3

Strain

Fill a tall hurricane or Collins glass with fresh ice. Strain the shaken mixture into the glass, letting the vibrant juices settle.

4

Float Dark Rum

Carefully pour the dark rum over the back of a bar spoon held just above the drink's surface so it floats as a dark layer on top. This gives the classic Rum Runner visual and a flavor contrast.

Garnish & Serve

5

Garnish the rim of the glass with the pineapple wedge, orange slice and maraschino cherry on a cocktail pick. Optionally run a piece of citrus peel over the top for added aroma.

6

Serve with a straw and a small stirring stick so the guest can mix the float in if they like. Recommend enjoying immediately while cold.
