Kale Crush Smoothie

Add the white rum, dark rum, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, pineapple juice and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.

Combine ingredients

Fill the shaker with ice (enough to chill — roughly 4–6 large cubes or 3/4 cup) and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and well-chilled.

Add ice and shake

Fill a Collins or highball glass with crushed ice (about 1 cup).

Prepare glass

Double-strain the shaken mixture over the crushed ice using a Hawthorne strainer and, if available, a fine mesh strainer to catch any pulp.

Strain

Top the cocktail with club soda (about 1 oz) for a light fizz. Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim, a sprig of fresh mint, and a maraschino cherry if desired. Optionally slap the mint between your palms before garnishing to release aroma.

Top and garnish

Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer so the drink can be mixed as needed while drinking.
