Cocktail Base

Method

Preparation

1

Chill glass

Place a highball or large rocks glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to chill it.

2

If using fresh lemon juice, squeeze half a lemon to yield approximately 0.5 oz (15 ml). Strain any seeds.

Mixing the Cocktail

3

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.

4

Add vodka (1.5 oz), light rum (1 oz), gin (0.5 oz), peach schnapps (0.75 oz), triple sec (0.5 oz), pomegranate juice (2 oz), and fresh lemon juice (0.5 oz) to the shaker.

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold and slightly frosted. This chills and lightly dilutes the mix for balance.

6

Discard the ice or water from the chilled glass. Fill the glass with fresh ice cubes (about 1 cup).

7

Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the ice.

8

Top the cocktail with a splash of Sprite (about 2 oz) to add effervescence and a touch of sweetness. Gently stir once with a bar spoon to integrate but preserve the carbonation.

Garnish & Serve

9

Garnish with a lemon wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally sprinkle 1 tablespoon of fresh pomegranate arils on top for visual contrast and a pop of texture.

10

Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer. Advise drinkers to sip and enjoy the layered fruit and spirit flavors.
