Filet Mignon
Method
Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Steak
Take the filet mignon out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.
Season the Steak
Rub the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with kosher salt and black pepper on both sides.
Sear the Steak
Add the steaks to the pan and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness.
Add Aromatics
During the last minute of cooking, add butter, fresh rosemary, and crushed garlic cloves to the pan. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks.
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest on a cutting board for about 5 minutes before slicing.
Serve
Slice the filet mignon and serve with your favorite sides.
