Cooking Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.

Cook Spaghetti
Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually around 8-10 minutes until al dente.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and set aside. Do not rinse.
Preparing Meat Sauce

Sauté Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, diced carrot, and diced celery. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.

Cook Ground Beef
Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, about 7-10 minutes.

Add Liquids and Seasoning
Pour in the red wine, canned tomatoes, and tomato paste. Stir in salt, black pepper, oregano, and basil.

Simmer Sauce
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finish the Sauce
Once the sauce has thickened, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Combining and Serving

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained spaghetti to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.

Serve
Serve the spaghetti Bolognese hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
