Piri Piri Chicken
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, combine the Piri Piri sauce, olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and lemon juice. Mix well. Add the whole chicken and coat it thoroughly with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.

- 3
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Place the chicken on the grill, breast side down, and cook for about 15-20 minutes. Flip the chicken and continue grilling for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the juices run clear.
- 4
Grill the Scallions
While the chicken is grilling, place the scallions on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally until they are slightly charred and tender.
- 5
Serve
Once the chicken is fully cooked, remove it from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. Cut the chicken in half and serve with grilled scallions and patatas bravas with bravas sauce.
