Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the NY strip steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat olive oil in a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove from heat and let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Scallops

  1. 4

    Prepare the Scallops

Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. 5

    Sear the Scallops

In a pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the scallops and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and opaque.

  3. 6

    Make Lemon Butter Garlic Sauce

Add minced garlic to the pan and cook for 30 seconds. Then, add lemon juice and chopped parsley. Stir to combine and cook for another minute.

Asparagus

  1. 7

    Prepare the Asparagus

Trim the ends of the asparagus and rinse under cold water.

  2. 8

    Roast the Asparagus

Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread onto a baking sheet and roast in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, until tender.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 9

    Cook the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into even chunks. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 10

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.
