Preparing the Steak
- 1
Season and Cook the Steak
Season the NY strip steak with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.
Assembling the Salad
- 2
Prepare the Salad Base
In a large bowl, chop the romaine lettuce and add it to the bowl. Halve the cherry tomatoes and add them on top of the lettuce.
- 3
Add Toppings
Crumble the cooked bacon and sprinkle it over the salad. Add the blue cheese crumbles and crispy onion straws.
- 4
Add the Steak
Slice the rested steak thinly and place it on top of the salad.
- 5
Dress the Salad
Drizzle the blue cheese dressing over the entire salad. Toss gently to combine all ingredients.
