Method
Fried Chicken Breast
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the chicken breasts and ensure they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- 2
Prepare the Breading
In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and cornstarch. Set up a dredging station with the flour mixture.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess liquid to drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture. Fry chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
House Made Biscuit
- 4
Prepare Biscuit Dough
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 5
Add Milk and Shape Biscuits
Stir in the milk until just combined. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Pat into a 1-inch thick round and cut out biscuits with a biscuit cutter or glass.
- 6
Bake the Biscuits
Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Garlic Aioli
- 7
Prepare Aioli
In a small bowl, mash the garlic cloves and mix them with mayonnaise and lemon juice. Season with salt to taste. Stir until well combined and smooth.
Seasoned Fries
- 8
Cook the Fries
Prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions. Once cooked, sprinkle with salt and paprika for seasoning.
