Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Mushrooms

Rinse the mushrooms under cold water to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a paper towel. If the mushrooms are large, slice them into thick pieces; if they are small, leave them whole.

  2. 2

    Chop Aromatics

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic. Chop the fresh parsley and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it's shimmering.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Onion

Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, or until it becomes translucent and soft.

  3. 5

    Add the Mushrooms

Add the cleaned mushrooms to the skillet. Stir well to coat them in the oil and mix with the onions.

  4. 6

    Season the Mushrooms

Sprinkle salt and freshly ground black pepper over the mushrooms. Continue to sauté for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender.

  5. 7

    Add Garlic and Parsley

In the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic and chopped parsley. Stir well and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

  6. 8

    Serve

Remove the skillet from heat. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot as a side dish or topping for meats, pasta, or toast.
