Preparation of Hoisin Honey Glaze

Make the Glaze
In a small bowl, combine hoisin sauce, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Mix well until fully combined and set aside.
Cooking the Salmon

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Salmon
Place the salmon filet on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top of the salmon generously with the hoisin honey glaze.

Bake the Salmon
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Cooking the Asparagus

Prepare the Asparagus
Trim the ends of the asparagus and toss them with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Roast the Asparagus
Place the asparagus on a separate baking sheet and roast in the oven for the last 8-10 minutes of the salmon's cooking time, until tender and slightly crispy.

Plate the Dish
Arrange the mashed potatoes on a plate, place the baked salmon on top, and add the roasted asparagus on the side. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the salmon for garnish.
