Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Combining Wet Ingredients

  1. 3

    Cream Butter and Sugars

In a large bowl, beat together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  2. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combining Everything

  1. 5

    Combine Dry and Wet Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.

  2. 6

    Fold in Chocolate Chips

Gently fold in the semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips using a spatula.

Baking

  1. 7

    Scoop and Bake

Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

  2. 8

    Bake the Cookies

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.

  3. 9

    Cool the Cookies

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
