Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

In a mixing bowl, take the ground beef and shape it into a round patty that is about ¾ inch thick. Season both sides of the patty with 1 tsp of Old Bay seasoning.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty and cover it to melt the cheese.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bun

While the patty is cooking, cut the brioche bun in half and lightly toast it in the same skillet or on the grill until golden brown.

Crab Dip Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix the Dip

In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, chopped green onions, and 1 tsp of Old Bay seasoning. Stir until well mixed and creamy.

  2. 5

    Chill the Dip

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the crab dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the frozen French fries according to package instructions, typically baking them in the oven at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes or frying them until golden and crispy.

  2. 7

    Season the Fries

Once the fries are cooked, remove them from the oven and sprinkle with 1 tsp of Old Bay seasoning, tossing to coat evenly.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Assemble the Crabby Patty

On the bottom half of the toasted brioche bun, place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese. Top it with a generous scoop of the homemade crab dip and then place the top half of the bun over it.

  2. 9

    Serve

Serve the Crabby Patty with a side of seasoned fries for a delicious meal.
