Method
Waffle Batter Preparation

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.

Combine Wet and Dry
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; some lumps are okay.
Waffle Cooking

Preheat Waffle Iron
Preheat your Belgian waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Cook Waffles
Pour a small amount of batter (about 1/4 cup) onto the preheated waffle iron. Close the lid and cook for about 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. Repeat for the remaining batter.

Cook Apples
In a small skillet, combine diced apple, chopped pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook over medium heat until the apples are tender and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
Strawberries & Cream Preparation

Whip Cream
In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until soft peaks form. Set aside.
Assembly

Serve Waffles
Stack the mini waffles on a plate. Top one with mixed berry compote, another with apple pecan topping, and the last with whipped strawberries & cream. Serve immediately.
