Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the bow tie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cream Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Garlic Cream Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 3

    Add Flour

Sprinkle the flour over the melted butter and garlic. Stir continuously for about 2 minutes to form a roux.

  3. 4

    Add Milk and Cheese

Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring often, until the sauce thickens. Add the smoked Gouda cheese, salt, and black pepper, and stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

Combine and Bake

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, chopped spinach, and garlic cream sauce. Mix well to ensure the pasta is evenly coated.

  2. 6

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased baking dish.

  3. 7

    Prepare Topping

In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese together. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the pasta.

  4. 8

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
