Fried Chicken Burger Ingredients

Method

Directions for Fried Chicken Burger

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, combine buttermilk, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Add chicken thighs and marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Coating

In a separate bowl, mix flour, salt, paprika, and garlic powder.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from buttermilk, allow excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture. Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Make Bleu Cheese Mayonnaise

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and bleu cheese until well combined.

  5. 5

    Prepare Jalapeño Slaw

In a bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, sliced jalapeños, and lime juice. Toss to combine.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burgers

Spread bleu cheese mayonnaise on the bottom of each burger bun. Top with fried chicken, drizzle with buffalo sauce, add sliced tomatoes, and finish with jalapeño slaw. Place the top bun on and serve.
